  • Asset browser: Quickly find available assets
  • Property inspector: Edit object properties

Scene Templates

What is a Scene Template

A scene template is a preset scene layout scheme that defines character portrait positions, background image selection, and arrangement of UI elements. Referencing a scene template in your story allows you to quickly set up the visual presentation of dialogue scenes.

Creating a Scene Template

  1. Click New Template in the template list.
  2. Enter a template name.
  3. Design the scene layout in the editor.
  4. Save the template.

Managing Templates

  • Switch between different scene templates in the template selector.
  • Remove unwanted templates via the delete button.

Editor Interface

The Scene Editor interface consists of four areas:

Toolbar

The toolbar at the top provides the tools needed for scene editing.

Hierarchy Panel

The hierarchy panel on the left displays all objects in the current scene in a tree structure. You can:

  • View object hierarchy relationships
  • Select objects for editing
  • Adjust object layer order

Viewport

The viewport in the center visually displays the current scene layout. You can intuitively view the positional relationships of characters, backgrounds, and other elements here.

Asset Browser

The asset browser at the bottom allows you to quickly search for and select visual assets (portraits, backgrounds, etc.) in the project, and drag them into the scene for use.

Inspector

The inspector panel on the right displays properties of the currently selected object, including position, scale, rotation and other transform information, as well as object-specific properties.

Tips

  • Creating templates for commonly used scene layouts can significantly improve the efficiency of setting up dialogue scenes.
  • Use the hierarchy panel to manage the front-to-back relationships of multiple overlapping objects in complex scenes.
  • Scene templates can be reused across multiple Episodes.
